Installation requirements and precautions

Installation position and direction:

Pay attention to the valve flow sign when installing. Under normal circumstances, the flow direction of GB elastic seat seal gate valves is two-way, but some specially designed valves may have a specified flow direction. The valve should be installed in a position that is easy to operate and maintain, and avoid installation in a place that is difficult to access or narrow space.

For vertical pipe installation, it is necessary to ensure that the direction of motion of the gate is consistent with the direction of gravity, which is conducive to the smooth opening and closing of the gate and reduce the force on the valve stem. In the horizontal pipeline installation, to ensure the levelness of the valve body, to prevent tilt caused by the gate and elastic valve seat uneven contact, affecting the sealing effect.

Pipeline connection requirements:

When connecting with the pipe with flanges, ensure that the specification of the flange meets the GB standard and matches the flange size of the valve. The sealing gasket between the flanges should choose the appropriate material, such as rubber asbestos gasket or polyteflon gasket, the inner diameter of the gasket should be slightly larger than the inner diameter of the pipe, and the outer diameter should not exceed the edge of the flange bolt hole.

If welded connections are used, the welding process shall comply with the relevant national standards. Before welding, the valve body and pipeline should be properly cleaned to remove impurities such as oil and rust. After welding, non-destructive testing should be carried out on the welding parts, such as X-ray detection or ultrasonic detection, to ensure the quality of welding and prevent welding defects resulting in leakage.

Reservation space requirements:

When installing the valve, reserve enough space for operation and maintenance. For manually operated valves, to ensure that the hand wheel can rotate freely, there must be at least 150-200mm operating space around. For electric or pneumatic driven valves, it is necessary to consider the installation size of the drive device and the space for wiring and nozzle, and to facilitate the maintenance and debugging of the drive device.
